Traveller Code of Conduct
1. Purpose
This Traveller Code of Conduct establishes the standards of behavior and responsibilities expected from all travellers who use the Platform to book and access transportation services. By using the Platform, travellers agree to comply with this Code and all applicable Platform policies.
2. Respectful Conduct
Travellers must:
- Treat drivers, transport staff, fellow passengers, and Platform representatives with courtesy and respect.
- Refrain from abusive, threatening, harassing, discriminatory, or disruptive behavior.
- Follow reasonable instructions provided by drivers and transport personnel relating to safety, boarding, and travel operations.
- Respect the comfort, privacy, and rights of other passengers.
3. Compliance with Laws
Travellers must:
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations while using transportation services.
- Not engage in illegal activities during any journey.
- Not possess or transport prohibited, illegal, or dangerous items except where permitted by law and transporter policies.
4. Accurate Information
Travellers are responsible for:
- Providing accurate and complete booking information.
- Ensuring that passenger names, contact details, and travel information are correct.
- Promptly updating information if circumstances change.
- Using their own account and not impersonating another person.
5. Safety Responsibilities
Travellers must:
- Follow all safety instructions provided by drivers or transport operators.
- Use seat belts and safety equipment where available and required.
- Board and exit vehicles safely.
- Avoid conduct that may endanger themselves, drivers, staff, or other passengers.
- Immediately report safety concerns, emergencies, or incidents to the transporter or Platform where appropriate.
6. Alcohol, Drugs, and Impairment
Travellers must not:
- Use illegal drugs while using transportation services.
- Engage in behavior that threatens safety due to intoxication or impairment.
- Consume alcohol where prohibited by law, transporter policies, or vehicle rules.
- Harass, threaten, or disturb others while under the influence of alcohol or other substances.
7. Protection of Drivers and Other Passengers
Travellers must not:
- Physically or verbally abuse drivers, staff, or other passengers.
- Make threats, intimidate, or harass any person.
- Damage vehicles, equipment, or passenger property.
- Interfere with the driver's ability to operate the vehicle safely.
8. Non-Discrimination
Travellers must not discriminate against or harass any person based on:
- Race or ethnic origin;
- Nationality;
- Religion or belief;
- Disability;
- Gender;
- Age
9. Cleanliness and Property
Travellers are expected to:
- Keep vehicles reasonably clean.
- Avoid damaging vehicles or equipment.
- Take responsibility for any damage caused by their actions or negligence.
- Respect the personal belongings of other passengers and transport staff.
10. Children and Vulnerable Persons
Travellers travelling with children or vulnerable persons must:
- Ensure appropriate supervision throughout the journey.
- Comply with any child safety, seating, or supervision requirements imposed by law or the transporter.
- Ensure that accompanying persons behave safely and respectfully.
11. Prohibited Conduct
Travellers must not:
- Commit fraud or abuse Platform services.
- Provide false identity or payment information.
- Attempt to evade fares or payment obligations.
- Carry weapons or dangerous items except where legally permitted and disclosed as required.
- Engage in violent, threatening, or criminal behavior.
- Use the Platform or transportation services for unlawful purposes.
12. Reporting Issues
Travellers are encouraged to promptly report:
- Safety concerns.
- Driver misconduct.
- Service quality issues.
- Discrimination, harassment, or inappropriate behavior.
- Accidents or emergencies occur during a journey.
13. Violations and Enforcement
Violations of this Code may result in:
- Warnings;
- Temporary suspension of Platform access;
- Cancellation of bookings;
- Permanent removal from the Platform;
- Reporting to law enforcement or relevant authorities where appropriate; and
- Liability for any losses or damages caused by the traveller's conduct.
14. Acceptance
By creating an account, making a booking, or using transportation services through the Platform, travellers acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to comply with this Traveller Code of Conduct.
15. Driver Protection and Professional Boundaries
The Platform is committed to providing a safe and respectful environment for drivers, transport personnel, and passengers.
Travellers must:
- Treat drivers and transport personnel with courtesy, dignity, and respect at all times.
- Respect professional boundaries between passengers and drivers.
- Refrain from making unwanted personal, romantic, sexual, discriminatory, or otherwise inappropriate comments or advances toward drivers or transport personnel.
- Not pressure drivers to share personal contact information, social media accounts, home addresses, or other personal details.
- Not engage in stalking, harassment, intimidation, or repeated unwanted contact with drivers before, during, or after a journey.
- Not record, photograph, or film drivers without their consent except where permitted by applicable law.
- Follow reasonable instructions issued by drivers concerning passenger safety, vehicle operation, and compliance with applicable laws.
Any conduct that threatens the safety, dignity, or wellbeing of drivers or transport personnel may result in immediate suspension or permanent removal from the Platform and may be reported to law enforcement authorities where appropriate.
16. Zero-Tolerance Policy
The Platform maintains a zero-tolerance policy for violence, threats, harassment, discrimination, sexual misconduct, criminal activity, or any conduct that jeopardizes the safety of passengers, drivers, transport personnel, or the public.
Serious violations may result in immediate account suspension, permanent removal from the Platform, cancellation of bookings, and referral to law enforcement or regulatory authorities where appropriate.
